API Reference

Every v1 operation, rendered from the same OpenAPI document the API serves, with schemas, examples, and a live playground.

The WebhookVault API is a JSON-only surface at https://app.webhookvault.net/api/v1. Every call is authenticated with a bearer API key, scoped to your workspace, and every failure is an RFC 9457 problem with a stable machine code.

Each operation page includes a playground: plug in your key and call the real API from the docs. GET /me is the safe first try. API keys are available from the Solo plan.

Base URLs

SurfaceBaseNotes
APIhttps://app.webhookvault.net/api/v1Everything documented here.
Capturehttps://in.webhookvault.net/hook/{id}Where senders deliver. No auth: the unguessable id is the token. Plain http:// is also accepted, deliberately: a sender mid-POST is never bounced by a redirect.

Authentication

Authorization: Bearer wv_live_…

Keys are created in the app, shown once, revocable forever; Authentication has the full story.

Conventions

  • Pagination: page / pageSize in, items / totalCount / totalPages out, one envelope everywhere. Details.
  • Errors: parse code, display detail, quote traceId to support. The code table.
  • Rate limits: per-key budget by plan; 429 + Retry-After when spent. Budgets.
  • Timestamps are ISO 8601 UTC; request ids are strictly-increasing integers per vault.

The document itself

This reference renders from the API's own OpenAPI 3.1 document: public, stable, and the same contract our tests pin to the code:
